Last weekend I took a ride down to lower Austria with a friend who has a Yamaha sidecar rig. We met many others at this small Austrian rally which is invite only and is a dry run for the Tauerntreffen which is in the Austrian Alps. A prerequisite for attendance is the ability to ride your bike/rig up a steep toboggan run. If you cant get up that. You cant actually reach the event

It is a lot less oversubscribed than the Elefantentreffen in Germany and the guys are a good bunch. Very hospitable

The European distributor for Urals was there. I don't know if you have any dealings with him. There were plenty of Dnepr's there too.

Yes...I`ve not met him but I`ve been in email chats with Harri over the years.

Also,I was on the Ural Pilgrimage to the Ural factory and riding off road in Siberia...and drinking far too much beer... with Birgit Krassnitcher from Ural Austria.

The Tauerntreffen is on from Friday 29th until Sunday the 31st if you suddenly find the time to blast to the Austrian Alps.

I dont think they would turn away a lone Uralist from the UK.
