.... should I do it? Seems a bargain compared to Corbin and Sargeant efforts.

Touratech sports seat, about £220 ...

Saw one on the TT jobby they brought down to Princetown last year...must admit it was the smartest individual bit on the bike, short of the HID lamps......

Depends on the comfort though...if you're buying for looks, buy it no hesitation...if it's for comfort, fekk knows!!!

Just looked thru the TT catalogue and it seems its only available as a single seat for the 1150 ... have I read it right?

Its a comfort purchase, need to ease the pressure on me piles mwah ha ha. Don't really care what it looks like but this one does look cool.

It's a single One Piece seat-designed to replace your original 2 Piece seat, that's how I read it anyway ;)

As for comfort-for the rider, I'm guessing it compares with the Adv seat-which fares off worse in most comparisons to the Standard GS seat,Pillion comfort is another thing:( the padding on that looks even thinner than the Adv seat, which is not exactly known for pillion comfort.

It looks to me like it's aimed toward the off roader, slim, narrow seat with a smooth surface, easy to shift your weight from front to rear when off road,of course I could be wrong on all counts,so if it comes down to looks alone go for it :D

There is a seat upholsterer in Newport who can re-sculpt your original seat foam and re-cover it Sergeant stylee for about £100,he'll add gel inserts for more cash, bell or PM me for details.

Looks like the one Tuned In has on his 1100

mine is the old one ..that's the lovely new version.

I'm still after side panels for it the long ones like the nice picture on the first post :D

they fit straight on both 1100 and 1150 as far as i know

the one i have no longer looks like it once did....I've decided to do a bit of upholstering myself....i got a big bread knife:rolleyes:

Show us your new paint job Tuned, did you get the scratches out?

It deserves a new thread, go on you know you want to show it off ;)

now after about an hour with the bread knife i'm about an inch and a half lower and have made a little place for a gel seat.

i also narrowed the width by about an inch and a half too....easy so far:rolleyes:

Cheers Steve I guess that would be Digger, I have his details from Mouse ... but I do like the TT one.

In the catalogue the 1-piece reider and pillion seat is advertised for the 1100 only whilst the 1150 only gets a single seat, leaving the tool kit area free for kit. p273 ...

I might go with the single seat anyway. I'll make an enquiry with Touratech ... wish me luck ...

Woooaaaahhhhh.....That front beak tuned in has must be about 5' in length......

Do TT do a special fixing bracket or what???

Forget the length ! I reckon its three foot wide...... Feckin bike must be hugh :D :D

I saw Digger Seats at the recent Bristol bike show. Very impressed at the work they had on show. I have his business card here and it says "Contact me for all your seat requirements. Corbin style conversions a speciality". From memory he quoted around £100 to reshape/recover a pair of GS seats.

Thanks Mike.

I think I'll be paying Digger a visit soon ... he rarely answers the phone and is a late riser by all accounts!!
