Following my last aborted attempt at this, I plan to get the job over and done with without any further delay.

About 240 miles each day, mixture of roads, coffee stops, usual stuff.

Meet at Tesco, Miami roundabout, Chelmsford at 09:00 for an 09:30 departure.... With a full tank of motion lotion, please.

Richard

Well ......

As I'm trading in the Exxon Valdez for a new jobbie, I promised the nice sales girl in Tunbridge Wells that I'd try and keep the mileage down. (and still have a few commitments before the deal)

So I'm out. Now if it had been in about seven weeks time ....

Is BMW recovery on alert of your jaunt?

Could be tempted on Monday - let me check with the War Dept. to see if I am doing anything.

Meeting a friend of mine (and a friend of his) at Chelmsford on Sunday.

He's running in his new Triumph, a replacement for the one that was written off in France towards the end of last year:tears

On Monday, it looks like it's Chasmill and I.

Richard,
If you get over towards Royston on Mon, there is a classic bike and car show in the town hall car park if you're interested :blagblah

Neil

Thanks for that Neil, I may even wander down the hill for a look myself, unless of course I can wangle a few hours off to join Richard and Chas on the run.

Hi Richard,
Hope to be at Tesco at 0900hours Sunday morning for a bimble. If it looks like I,m not going to make it I will text you.

Jolly good :thumb2

Sunday: Me, KevB, Stuart and Stuart's mate.

Monday: Me and ChasMill.

Job done!

My thanks to Charlie, Brian and Kev for their company over the two days.

Given the warm weather there was surprisingly few bods and bikes out'n'about.

Having stopped many times over the years at Kimbolton, I have at last found a decent place for a coffee and / or lunch....

The New Sun Inn, half way up the High Street.

I have no idea why I haven't ventured in there before.

My pleasure Richard, thanks for the run out and as you say surprisingly quiet. Glad you found somewhere in Kimbolton as I have stopped there many a time and never found anywhere serving coffee or sarnies, which in itself is strange given the proximity to the school.

A good place for a stop not far away is Grafham Water where you can also rent push bikes and tandems for the energetic.
