i'm waiting to hear from some other guys i know from Leicestershire area weather they are coming out sunday..
But weather these guys are coming or not i'm going to be starting off from the shell petrol sation on the A580 where it meets junction 23 M6 at 9.30 am.

either the peaks or yorkshire.... getting home form around 6ish..
so if any of you in the north west fancy a run out please come along because if the Leicestershire guys do come out to play it would be a good old larf, :spitfire i know them from going out green laning !!! on the ktm.

Would like to come BUT have a problem with the bike (see technical thread) and I dont want to risk it especially as I have no breakdown recovery.

WOuld be up for something in July but have to check which weekend because I know that the girlie has someting planned + I fancy going to Goodwood Festival of Speed this year if the weather is nice!

Ok update , i know it's about my 10th post on my own topic :rob
but starting as per above heading down to Matlock for 10.45 ish to meet Blue UK

then open from there where we head next..

Hi The run up to Kettlewell then over the top to Hawes is superb. Turn off at Buckden n up to Hubberholme then up the side of the river. Its a cracking run with great wiggly bits n downhills. Mind the ford at Gayle cos its really slippy

Where

I will be at Goodwoood, tickets already bought.
Meeting is 7/8/9 july. I will be there 8 & 9
Went to the Goodwood revival September last year, cracking event.

Sunday - not interested in Matlock really, too close to home. usually green lane round derbyshire so nothing new there. Live in Holmes Chapel.

Yorkshire would be more appealing. Will watch to see what develops. Not even sure i can make this Sunday yet so keep on organising Mr KTM.

U doing the Welsh next week, or is that another story?
See U next Tuesday anyway

the river cross up steam is more fun shorter but fun, on off roaders like my 525.. would never dream of taking the GS over it.. :thumb

The food at gayle is a laugh, go too fast and your over on you back side...lol

yip know the lane that goes besides the river very well, having canoe it in food along time ago..about 3 miles upstream of kettlewell.

i know what your saying about matlock run too close , but my first choise is yorkshire .. if Blue drops out of the run sunday i'd be up for yorkshire if i had other folk to come all.
so watch this space as they say :thumb

hope to see you all next tuesday :thumb

very small report. :D
Weather could have been warmer ,but never got cold myself..!!!
Meet up with blue Uk in Matlock....had a look at a very clean KTM950 that has panniers with a tap for water on them !!! :beerjug: !!!

took our selfs of to a green alne where a friend of ours hit a gate last saturday evening when we was out laning on the enduro bikes .
chrissgatepicturesetc001.jpg

the result been still in hospitcal ..
chrissgatepicturesetc012.jpg

but anyway then headed west on some minor roads which i was more than happy by now because id done a 30 miles on the way to matlock on some already.. plus the odd very easy lane....

So 9/10 so far for my bike ...pleased i brought it..
then out friend the rain started ......but luckly we was close to cat & fiddle pub where a cup of tea was need... and got us out of the rain ;)
of again to pot around some small B roads and down to chesterfield hospitcal to see the my m8 who done the damage to the above gate.... but not long after the tea stop Blue who can not do much cooking !!! :D :D :D burnt the beans should i say,,... yes slightly OVER cooked it going into a bend ...10/10 for not stopping the bike and getting out of it...i did piss myself :D :D after all we had been saying which bike was best for around a week.... THE GS brakes are so brill and you can control it so easy with out the bike front end dipping when braking hard.

got to chesterfield H ,after him come out side to take the mick out of my bike etc i headed home with the weather looking like it's going to rain most of the time...
again the views in the paeks are great if you get yourself of onto the very small roads etc...

after spending most of the day on the bike i got home knowing i could of road for hours more on the GS and feal great today with no back pain...done 275 miles if i'd do that on the gixxer i would have knowen about it..
well there you...out next Sunday weather permiting YORKSHIRE ANYONE ?
