Reminds me of the time the "Game for a laugh" show got a bunch of nursery kids to paint some pictures then they put on an art show for the arty fartys, who stood around ooohing and aaahing over this new artists work. One even said saying "yes I can see what he's tried to capture here"
The look on thier faces was priceless when the were introduced to the 3 and 4 year old artists.

sums it up nicely:D

For me to appreciate what someone has done or created I'd have to see the skill involved doing/making it, that would apply
to anything from art to medicine to riding a bike. Since art is a personal or subjective thing there is no way to guage the
skill of the artist apart from the artists popularity or "maybe" the degree of skill required to create it.
If I see a beautiful picture or sculpture done to a level of skill that I feel I could never reach, I might be impressed, but
I don't think the pictures posted at the beginning of thread are beyond the abilities of many on here.:augie

Just my opinion, good post though. :nod

Are these Art? 'Unmade Bed' - Tracy Emin and 'Mother and daughter' Damien Hirst, personally I don't think so, but as Tuned and others have said, 'Art is very subjective'.
