Hi all.
Ive some really bad news about Stuart the farmer who runs the site where we camp.
It would appear that there was some mechanical failure with the manitou tractor he was using. The 3 ton tractor has run him over, and then stalled on top of him, where it pinned him down for 5 hours, breaking his legs and pelvis.
He was Helicoptered to a london A and E where he is in a very very bad way.
Ive offered my services as much as i am able, if there are any guys with some free time in the area, i'm sure the help would be much appreciated.
I'm going up to the farm on monday, to hatch a plan to keep the farm running.
If you can help, give me a bell or pm me, dont just turn up at the farm.
The information as to what happened is very poor as he is still unconscious.
As soon as i find out anymore i'll keep you posted.
As regards the rally, as far as i'm concerned it will go ahead,as i think they will need all the money they can get.
Regs Paul.
PS if you wish to join in, could you include your mobile number and email addy please in a pm, and i will put you in the email group list.

That is awful news Paul, I cannot even try to imagine the state he was in, 5 hours:eek:

I don't know fully what my plans are for the next few weeks but if I can I will try and offer some help, in some way.

Keep me posted mate, that is really awful.

If I can help I'll try to do what I can, but being a cripple... it might not be much use.

PM to follow...

Update.

Ive been down the farm most of the afternoon, doing various jobs.
To the credit of Dan(stu's son in law), he has sorted most of the big chores and the majorly industrial jobs,So we can rest easy for a while.
Stu is awake today, but cant speak, due to being paralysed from the neck down by the hospital.
He defo has a shattered pelvis and 2 broken legs, its gonna be a long year.
To all the guys who volunteered, i wish to say a massive thankyou, and we may call on you yet, but for the mo, Dans in control, well done son.
As soon as we have more news i'll post it up.
regards Pauly

Bit far away up here.
Was only talking about a trip to the farm this weekend gone.
Is there a way us far removed Tossers could help?

Bloody Hell! I hope it doesn't turn out too bad for the Geezer: It's not like this in The Archers.

I'm away at the end of the week for a while but put me on the list if he needs any help over the long term from a willing farm hand wannabe.
