I'm replacing the front cover/alternator mount plate on an R1150, and the factory workshop manual calls for 3-bond 1209.
There are previous posts around 1209 for pushrod tube rubbers, but nothing re sealing the alternator mount cover ?
I have several RTV and gasket goo tubes, but cautious about taking a punt on one and then having to repeat the process again.
Is there a sealant that is recommend for this job - I can then match against the RTV I have here.
