Three go mad in Wales

The plan was simple. Three of us head off to Wales for a dirty weekend. . Bikes a 1200gs, yam 660 and me on the 1190r.

First problem. The yam turned up with a rear spindle spacer missing in Hertfordshire. Off to the bike shop to get it fixed. Finally hit the road about lunch time.

Good ride to Rhayader stopping off for lunch.

Arrived in Rhayader in time for a shower,beers, curry and more beers.

Following morning after a hearty breakfast we set off a cross the hills. All was going well until lunchtime when an over exuberant bandit flips the 1190r.

I knew all wasn't good when on landing my foot was pointing in the wrong direction.

Spiral fracture and a dislocated ankle.

Thanks to the guys for calling the ambulance, helping me to the stretcher and coming to visit me in Carmarthen hospital.

I meant to say - a good friend of mine did something very similar (and broke a few other bits as well) in Corsica last summer.

He's back on top form. In fact, he's a better dancer now than he was then...
