Hi

The left hand Throtle Housing Manifold on my 1100 is starting to crack and will need to be replaced. It looks like the ducting that connects to the air filter can be pushed back into the air box complete with main body and with the injecter and wiring still connected to access the manifold and remove.
Can anyone please advise if this is correct or if not what is the procedure to replace the manifold, are there any other seals etc that will need replacing while undertaking this job.

Thanks in advance

Mike

Any chance you could repair the crack with chemical metal
i have used it loads of times and usually it's a permanent repair

Nice easy job, Just slacken the stainless clamp and push it back into the airbox. it helps if you spray Silicone spray onto the plastic before pushing it back though - it may need a fair bit of pressure and a bit of twisting to get it to go. Order a new O ring for the airbox side of the throttle body when you order your new manifold rubber. The O rings expand with age and can be a pain to get back in, you will probably end up trapping it as well (best order a two :D )

The O ring is a 52 X 2mm - Part number 13541341797

The O ring is part 15 on the diagram
