Well it all looks good but the revs pick up when I am near full right lock and the clutch cable gets tight when I am on full left lock , tight enough to disengage the clutch. I'm guessing the cable should go behind or in between the forks? what is the correct route for both?

Depends. Normally they go between the forks and over the front of the top yoke, but if you have bar risers fitted, then maybe behind the top yoke. But if that doesn’t solve your problem then the fault may lie else where in your routing.

Has this only just started happening ? Or have you been moving/adjusting “stuff”

Everything has been off and put back, I'm just wasn't certain on how they were previously.

Ian's photo has helped, I'll look at it again. It's only routing at the handle bar end, nothing was disturbed else where
