Coming to the BMW flat twin from the world of revvy Japanese inline fours, I find I'm still in the habit of blipping the throttle when changing down. Seems to work nicely, but is it a good thing to do on a GS from a mechanical sympathy point of view?

Goodness - a revvy, Japanese in-line four rider who knows how to change gear. I'm duly impressed, Sir.....:thumb

Absolutely the correct thing to do.....

Ah - good thanks. Thanks as well for the link. I think I'm still doing it as I'm not thinking about it and it seems to smooth things up. Just wondered if it was a quick way to an expensive clutch death. :roll
