fitted a set of risers to the xcountry but found the standard throttle cable to short the xchallenge cable is a bit longer but is at full stretch on full lock so sent the xcountry cable to venhill and had one made 50mm longer a five day turn around and the new cable only cost £27 and its a better made cable then the original ive used venhill befor to get some custom made brake hoses cant fault them there first class

My local bike shop sells a venhill universal cable kit for £15. You have to measure with a little care before soldering the cable end on but it isn't rocket science. If you get it wrong you can always heat it up again and adjust it.
