Plastic throttle cable cam.

So doing some preventative maintenance and pulled the throttle body off to check the plastic throttle cam.
So it’s got a crack in it and doing some digging there seems to be severe options.
Some say just bond a washer over it and it’s job done.
You can buy new plastic replacement parts but is that the right solution?
Apparently you can buy a metal replacement parts .
So what’s the answer please
