Throttle free play

Hi all.
I have a tad too much free play in my twist grip.
How do I adjust it to lessen the freeplay.
I assume it won't knacker up anything to do with my tab balance at the other end. It's just the twist grip movement I won't to adjust.

where the cable leaves the twist grip there is an adjuster effectively lengthens the outer casing and therefore reduces free play. It has a locknut thingy

I suspected that was the adjuster. Thought I check first just in case.
