I have a 2017 R1200GS which broke down yesterday whilst on a run. I used my GS911 which informed me that I had a Throttle Grip sensor short circuit to ground fault. The bike would only idle and I had to be picked up by trailer.
I purchase a new throttle grip from John Clark Aberdeen and fitted it today. The GS911 will not clear the fault code the bike starts but idles at 2.5 revs per min and twisting the throttle has no effect on engine speed. Any ideas?

Can you reset the calibration on the GS-911?
It could be a short somewhere else.

As the original fault was a short to ground then perhaps a cable fault or connector pin damage/corrosion somewhere?

Known problem, there is a loom repair cable which splices in , have a look on realoem for the part number, ... That was the start of my woes with my 2016

Hi all, this error came up on my R1250GS TE 2018, I decided to try the basics and found a couple of posts and videos. I thought I would check the throttle connector, but, for the life of me I cannot figure out how to disconnect it, any guidance would be appreciated.

Picture in my one drive as can't see how to upload.
I found a site with a workshop manual screen shot on where to press to release the clip, so now all sorted, here is the link if anyone having similar issues.
