Hi

Just noticed that the rubber boot that covers the wires that go into the TPS on my 1150 is split. I presume that I need to replace the entire wire/plug; is that the case or is there an alternative?

Cheers

You can get the rubber boots for the 4 way junior type connector, which is what that connector is called, but to fit the rubber boot you would have to extract the 4 terminals from the connector body. They are held in with locking tabs which have to be depressed to extract them, and without the proper extraction tool the job is difficult if not impossible without doing damage to the either the terminals and/or the connector body. And the job could end up a lot worse that when you started out.

So as Fanum says self amalging tape is your friend.
