Having owned and ridden air-cooled twins and K's for years, I was surprised to see that my new 1150GS Adventure doesn't seem to have that throttle screw that Beemers either had or could be fitted with.

Am I missing something? Is there a way of adjusting the throttle so that it doesn't snap shut as soon as you loosen your grip?

Alternatively is there an after-market equivalent to the old throttle screw?

wunderlich do a modified bar end weight that works as friction damper

Yes there is indeed. Try the Wunderlich cruise control, Part No. 8160431. It replaces the offside bar end weight. You turn a knurled ring to your required tension to stiffen or lock the twistgrip. It relieves my RSI on every ride.

Thanks for the advice. Definately going to get one.

Maybe my problem is being left-handed, the right doesn't get so much excercise!!!!!!!!:eyebrow

You can buy one of these...

...but they're expensive ($100+ IIRC).

Or you can get an O ring...

...although I found that this would soon (10 secs or so) allow the throttle to close - enough to take the strain away from holding it open though...

Mike:)
