Went for a run this Morning, travelled around 20 miles when i felt the clutch slipping.
Pulled over and discovered i had no clutch:nenau
Once the bike had cooled down i was able to ride it home, until that is i had to change gear.
2 miles from home it did it again:blast
I am pretty sure it's the throwout bearing jambing in the casing, but i could be wrong:augie

Remove the clutch actuating arm and pull out the operating piston gubbins.

Clean it all up and inspect it...especially the bearing component.

It`s not too uncommon for it to gunge up and bind,so you may get away with a clean up and re-lube.

It`s a good opportunity to clean out, inspect and relube or replace the clutch operating arm needle roller and bush too...many people overlook that.

Clutch thrust piston -common problem.

It sticks in the gearbox tunnel when it's hot, and then releases when it cools down.

Yep, could be above but my own bike did exactly the same as above and tried the clutch actuator brg etc all to no avail. I ended up stripping gearbox out, lubing the splines on the clutch plate etc. Its perfect now.
I hope its the actuator Brg for you Robmack, its easier/quicker than a gearbox removal !!

Thanks for the reply's guys removed the bearing,it was very tight in the housing.
I had only just replaced the clutch too and checked the bearing and all seemed fine.
This was it's Maiden voyage before the 120 mile round trip to the MOT station.
In hindsight i suppose i should have replaced it along with the clutch:blast

Thanks Rab
