Was there today...twice in fact! Went on the bike this morning to watch some of the practice, and have a mooch around, then went home to get the family for a nice afternoon watching the racing together.

Should have gone with Doc Savage for a ride, but turns out he's got the flu real bad.

Anyway, top day out but didn't see anyone I knew there. I went to a burger van for some food but they said some greedy baastard passed buy and bought them clean out of food......Flip?:augie didn't realise you were there

Really sorry to see young Will had binned his loverly Suzuki T500 (red/white bike 117 on Phils pics) on the cavalcade.... this bike was going like stink in the practice earlier in the morning, a really nice young lad on a cracking bike.

this bike was built from scratch by my mate Paul Dunwoody to a very high standard and it has been eating money since day 1....

it's just one of those bikes! i had only said to Will 20 minutes before he binned it.......

"get a proper hobby and set fire to £20 notes!":blast

looking at the state of that hand built replica fuel tank...

set fire to quite a few more mate:augie

hm

Had a great day myself- me and Mrs Haydw were looking after the assembly area- Mrs Haydw is now hoarse after spending all day shouting 'attention paddock, attention paddock....'.

The cavalcade is a nightmare- everyone trying to set off at once. Got through it though. Glad the spectators enjoy it- makes it worthwhile for us who spend most of the day on our feet making sure it runs smoothly.

That suzuki was very pretty- thats until it ended up with a squashed fuel tank. We had another racer come to grief in the afternoon but got up and walked away. JT seemed to have a good day as well. There are not many places you can get so close to so many different types of bikes- my ears are still ringing from all the noise after being stood next to them all day.

Good photo....
Saw a couple of crashes, didn't manage to get any pics tho'
The Ducati 1100 crash was a corker..glad the rider got up ok :D

It was a Ducati 696 & the rider "Sergio" works for Ducati Manchester. Still waiting for an update, but latest is that he's been taken to theatre for possible surgery, on what I'm not sure but I do know he dislocated his shoulder pretty badly.

We convinced him that the 696 would be ideal for the short track but he was complaining all morning that he wanted to ride the 1198. The 1198 demo was binned on Saturday by a punter so maybe we should have let him use that :D

Saw This Beast at the Ramsey Sprint at MGP 08. It is a Norton Rolling Chassis and the Engine is Speedway JAWA 500. It has been converted from Total Loss to Recirculating Oil. Beautifully put together and went quite nicely.

Looks like i missed a good Day but i went to the Ace Cafe BMW Day instead. Choices,Choices !

Cheers, it was one hell of a spectacular 'off' anyways....
I'm sure everyone wishes him well.

Crap quality due to a very heavy crop and high ISO (need a longer lens  ):
