does anyone elses 8gs make a really fast tica tica tica when it is at idleing speed.

My bike only has 400 miles on it but this noise is already gripping my shit.

It is really noticable when i throttle off in 2nd or 3rd for a junc or roundabout.

Surely this is not a normal noise!!!!

Thanks guys but bummer, that video does sound similar to the noise i am hearing - however mine is nowhere near as loud as the clip on you tube. and i would say mine is more of a tic than the clunking that i here on the clip.

It goes in for its 600 mile service soon so i will point it out then.

I am out witha few GS'ers this weekend so hopefully one of them will ride an 800 so i can get a listen to someone elses and compare

I like the look of your bike, what boxes have you got on?

The are stahlkoffer ones, powder coated to match the bike. It does it all the time.. personally i think its normal, all bikes tic a bit.

I ride like im not going to be here to ride it tomorrow, to many ppl i know have not had the oppertunity to enjoy life like they should.

But its been TICKIIIIIING since mile 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its doing my head in.

I just hope it gets sorted on the frst service.

Mine ticks. I also thought is was a problem, but now i'm at 12K miles and have heard many 8gs bikes. They all tick. Have fun!

just checked mine and its going tickety boom

no its not a noise or a sound i just mean im at 10,000 miles and its running OK

no ticking should i be worried? maybe it was ticking and its stopped ticking
