Hi, I have had an accident and can no longer attend. I have 1 weekend ticket (cost £159). Any takers?

I think in all honesty you are going to seriously struggle to sell this at such short notice.
I hope your accident wasn’t too serious and you’re not hospitalised.

Ive always found the ABR team to be reasonably accommodating when it comes to problem solving, what I would do is send them a brief email stating what has happened along with any supporting evidence, hospital discharge papers, documentation from the paramedics etc and ask the good folk at the ABR to roll your ticket over to next year. Just a suggestion, but it’s worth a stab. 👍

Thank you Pepsi. I will try. Yes I was hospitalised for 3 weeks, but am out of it. I cannot ride, at least for this summer/Autumn, but I had hoped I could take my car, camp next to it, and just enjoy the experience. Unfortunately, because I had a brain bleed/Stroke/head issue at the time (not now), no doubt rightly so, DVLA and Docs etc are nervous about a subsequent seizure.

So despite contradicting advice (as now 3 months later), it was confirmed (I called) 3 days ago I cannot drive. Its a shitter given I feel fine (big plate in arm physically stops me riding today, but that's a different issue).

I also totally accept that other's safety is paramount, and I respect that, but I'd just hoped, as I feel fine.

Phew.

But yes, than you, I'll try and appeal to the organisers best nature to get my ticket rolled over, as they will know its not been used.

Wishing everyone that goes there a fantastic event.

Love and respect.

Rhys.

Thanks so much for the advice. I will do this! I was hospitalised, but out now. Unfortunately I had a head injury (bleed on the brain) which appears to lead to a ban on driving/riding for 6 months. or more. Hey ho - at least I am alive!

Bloody hell that does sound serious. Speak with Abeer at the ABR, if you get no joy speak with Allun Davies the organiser, I would be extremely disappointed in them if they didn't accommodate you.

The ABR gig was extremely busy, during Friday and Saturday there were more and more people hobbling around with legs and arms bandaged up and late Saturday afternoon the Air Ambulance rocked up. The general opinion from those riding the trails were that people were still riding them too fast and not taking into account that there were many nervous, anxious and inexperienced riders on the trail. It's the same on the trail every year, the organisers either aren't bothered or are blind!

Hope you get sorted and make a full recovery.

Sorry to hear of yer woes Austin.
As chappy says ask um for a refund or credit for next years doo and tell um lads on hear think ABR is a great and responcible company. Good luck to yer on yer health and yer refund..
