Tiger 800 - not too shabby

Looks good..... and it will be interesting when the 1200 version arrives :)

Really interested in this bike, and having a three cylinder engine makes it pretty unique.

Hi Davy,

Have you talked to McCallan's about stock? I might give them a call. Just wondering when we can actually see one.

I was talking to Philip last week. He's going next week to ride the new Tiger (having already been to the factory) and was really excited about it as he reckons 'It's fantastic !'. I believe he has more (refundable) deposits than bikes coming for the first delivery date, but I'm in no rush at the moment. I just booked my flight over to the NEC for this years m/c show, so at least I'll get a good look at both models before the end of the year.

There'll be a three cylinder F1200GS along pretty soon :augie

The engine already 'thinks' it's a three cylinder because of the middle crank throw for the balance device. Might as well put another con rod on there and a cylinder above it then :augie

It wouldn't be any the wider for it, the cylinder 'block' being pretty narrow in relation to the crankcases anyway!

What a 'bike that would make eh :thumb

You'd need a DID chain then eh :thumb

No there won't. BMW would never dare to play about with the formula now. We will see more bikes wearing the GS badge but the 1200 is now a sacred cow.

Well they jumped right in with the 1000RR and beat the Japs at their own game, came in right at the top with that one. Now the six cylinder projectile meets the Japs again head on :thumb

Never say never ;)
