If anyone now wishes to contribute and donate their old timepieces, I’m yer man

Thread 'Do you have ‘Time For Kids’'

Some of you already know of an initiative I have started about giving old watches to less fortunate kids.

Through the kindness of some members, I’ve gathered in some old watches etc that I give to less fortunate kids in our community so they get to know what a ‘real’ watch is and how to tell the time. The joy and gratitude they show is a wonderful feeling that makes it all worthwhile.

The local headteacher west side of Edinburgh is delighted to support this and helps find the right kids, managing the good feeling and any jagged remarks of favouritism or displeasure.

Hi everyone

As we head towards a new year I’d like to record publicly my sincere thanks to all those who have contacted me in the last week or so offering and sending me some really great watches that I’ll be putting to good news locally and not so locally.

The kindness of so many gives me great heart and will see a lot of kids get good benefit and loadsa fun. Their smiles makes for a good day.
