Don't know what the form is in ere but thought this the place to go public with the fact I've gone over to the dark side and changed from me 1200 to one of those 1150 GSA thingies.

As I've been inundated with "what you up to" type PM's for the last week or so I thought it easiest to bare all on here and show the world what's now in the garage as a result of my "interested in an 1150 GSA as part exchange" comment on the for sale section.

After a lot of chat and a trip to the Little Chef at Juction 16 of the M6 last Tuesday here's the result. :D

Have a few bits and pieces to fit to it so can anyone point me in the direction of a pukka copy of the BMW workshop manual on CD? :augie

Please ignore the stupid questions which I'm bound to ask in the next few weeks, I'll try search first honest :aidan

I've got a disc here-it's no use to me I've given up antique collecting :augie PM me your address and I'll put it in the post to you this week :thumb2

I think you've timed getting rid of your 12 just right matey... they're already starting to flood the market from what I've seen...

but have you considered the implications... you'll find life so boring now without the excitement of waiting for your pump controller or EWS thingywotsits to fail... what a let down. :augie

the pooch doesn't seem to be very impressed

Little thief J16 , travel west for 6 miles on that road and you go almost right past my front door. In fact you probably did if you travelled back via Holyhead.

Nice bike Roger, got a good one there :thumb2

You cant beat the silver paint with black engine, telever & gearbox combo for looks .:bow

NICE! I have been looking for one in Hong Kong but very few were imported and none are on the market :tears

If you get bored of yours then can you pop it into an envelope and mail it here ... :augie

Enjoy it!

Aftr seeing the thread title and the person who wrote it I was getting a bit worried

Welcome to the world of serious GSing :D

Nice one Roger..that's a very good looking bike, and in the fastest colour as well! :thumb2 (some very nice bits of farkle on it already...screen, touratwat light (hid?) side panels hmmm but never mind)

Get on to Vern quick to grab some prper paniers and you'll cover the cost of them by selling those fragile BWM ones on as well! :aidan

Another 5000 miles and it'll be worn in properly and the power will free up :clap

You're not the first to see the shining path towards GS Nirvana, and you won't be the last.....

:thumb2

if you do decide to ditch the panniers & topbox, give me a shout. I'm on the lookout for a set.

Cracking bike btw...... Only 10k on the clock. Bit of a find there!

Didn't you just buy a new 12 earlier this year? Anyhow, no matter - welcome to the inner circle of GSA owners (mines an identical 04 model :clap).

I think I downloaded the service/workshop manual here http://www.repairmanualclub.com/index.php?dlid=28 , but it seems to require some sort of 'membership' now. I can put a copy on a CD is you need, PM me.

I've been unable to ever locate a 'Riders Manual' - though its hardly needed.
