Hi All, Just had my 30k service on my 1150GS and all is well apart from a very slight leak from the nearside timing chain inspection cover. The dealer went on to say that it's a big job to fix if it worsens :( .I think they are refering to the circular black plastic cover on the side of the head. If anyone has any experience of this problem i'd appreciate any tips, doesn't it just need a new gasket on it's next oil change ? cheers Mike

If its the little black cover, then its 2 screws and from memeory has an O ring seal, would take about 5 mins to replace.

"The dealer went on to say that it's a big job to fix if it worsens" ....... change your dealer, or he is referring to something else. ?

Thanks for the response guys, I will double check with the dealer ( North Oxford BMW ), the bloke there who said it was a big job to repair looked about 18 years old, so I kind of doubted what he said was gospel. I've only had the bike 3 months but twice now I've been advised something by "experts" thats turned out to be rubbish and then you guys on this site have totally sorted my problems out so again many thanks for your responses cheers Mike :thumb
