How many can yours hold in the space between the engine and gearbox ?

I'm on 1 so far Ffs!!!!

If I'm really bored tomorrow and with this shite weather I might pull the stater and dig it out

And then fabricate a replacement that I can't "mong strength" into the belly of the beast!!

piecre it and put a tie strap through the hole it then gives you something to hold on to.

Leave it, not worth the effort to recover...

Two! Yes two!

Decided couldn't be bothered to fish it out

It can sleep with the clutch dust and any other shite lying in there

Thanks for the advice all, will pick up another and mod it as suggested

I replaced the original with a thicker one from R650-750-800-1000 series. It is much less likely to get sucked-in!

I got the tip from the valve checking guide to be found on Adv Rider.

Me too!
Interestingly or not, the one I'd pushed in was never to be found even when I replaced the clutch!:D

Just pulled the gearbox on my 1100 and found a mangled plug in there.
I know it's not from me as I successfully reinstalled mine the only time I've ever looked at the timing marks so it must have been piddocks who had serviced it up until I bought it :)

I've done it twice, once on my GS and once on the RS. The latter was recovered intact at the bottom of the bellhousing when I had a new clutch fitted. I'd leave it be; a piece of rubber is never going to win an argument with a steel flywheel.
