I am away from the garage for maybe a while but, still interested what will be my next step.
Checking for continuity (green/white) wire. But where is the connection for the timing valve?

After which, will check the yellow/white wire to ECU from injectors.

Has anybody had failures of the ECU and if so, is it obvious on the inside?

What is your problem? Hall sensor is giving the signals for injectors via ECU.

If you keep starting new threads every time for the same fault you will loose all continuity. It also becomes very frustrating for anyone trying to assist you and they may well just give up.

All the green/white wires on that circuit, from the Relay to the fuel pump, lambda probe, left and right injector and the timing valve connectors are all joined together at a Crimp. If it’s not in the fuse box, then it will be in the main loom somewhere.

have you done any continuity checks on the green/white wire?
simple to do.

Timing valve connector is tied to the right hand side of the rear frame top tube under the seat.

Timing Valve.
Note that the wiring for it enters the fuse box at the rear.
You have had the bottom of the fuse box off, so if you look at the wiring you should see the green/white wire. Additionally you should also see a thicker Green/white wire coming off the base of the Fuel Pump relay.
Follow these two wires, if they exit through the main loom harness at front of fuse box then that is where you need to look further to find the crimp connection for the Green/white wire loop.IMG_0535.jpeg
