Timolgra's Fault: Trail ride weekend in North Wales, December 29/30th 2007.

And if you're not quite sure what Rick means by that here's just one of many photos where Timpo is seen both kissing and touching up a sheep:kissy2

:nono Are there not laws against that?

Mind you, I've seen Rick try and pull worse

:DWahey! I've just found out that the kids are going to a New Years party with my ex, so I won't be taking them down to Poole, so I should be free for the 29th/30th...........:D:bounce1:bounce1
(Unless I can think of another excuse quickly :augie)

OK, as M and P have totally failed to send what I ordered from them last week (New sprokets and tyres) I'm after a bit of advice.

1)What tyres would be suitable for this and FIM compliant (so I can use em for the Snowrun and stuff if I want to)(I was going for AC10's, but they're not suitable for quite a lot of enduro's and rally's)
2)Where can I get some from, preferably somewhere who also sell sproket and chains! They must be able to deliver before xmas so I can get me bike all farkled and reasy to go.

Michelin Deserts would be a good choice as they are also FIM compliant.

I'd have loved to have done this but unfortunately work is in the way.(lucky huh?!):augie
I was in Dolgellau the other week on a Weds and it rained so bad it knackered my phone!!:spitfire

As for tyres, personally i would go for a Mich Comp 4 front and a comp 3 rear? although in my opinion,i'd get away with an FIM MITAS tyre or even a MITAS CO-2 but that's only because they're cheap(and satisfactory for my riding ability) and it would be a new one and not part worn.

Hope that helps.

Not gonna be online after friday, so was wondering where the meetup point will be on Sunday morning?:bounce1

Leaving at 9am from Pentrefoelas car park, just off the A5, approx 8 miles east of Betws y Coed on the left.

It's probably an idea to PM Timpo and myself your mobile number in case 'anything happens' on the two previous rides.

I was just about to ask the same question.:D

What about Saturday? I'm hoping to do both and meet Loz there.

The main car park in Dolgellau at the far end next to the rugby club.
Timpo will post a link with a map...I hope

I'll have to PM you on advrider, coz I'm stingy and I've not paid for this site.

Happily (I think?) I have managed to wangle a pass out for all three days! (Including Timpo's warm up ride on the friday) Any one requiring a bed for the night on any of the dates is more than welcome. :thumb

Grand Day Out (Thanks Timopo)

Thanks Timpo for a very challenging day out. We had a lot of rain the day before, so it was very wet.

Next time we should sick to Honda C90's :D they had not trouble getting through the mud.

We also found a new mountain bike for Loz, so he can't come to any harm:thumb

I’ve posted all the pictures and in full resolution on my Flicker account here if you want copies. http://www.flickr.com/photos/66685468@N00/sets/72157603586205397/
