Hello you buggers. I don't write much but I thought I'd share this with you. I ride an 1150GS.... fantastic... love it, more than the wife... or girlfriend!! It had one of those tank protectors on (motrax) which had weathered considerably, so I peeled it off thinking I'd put a new one on. Unfortunately when it came off it left a residue of the glue still stuck to the tank. I took advice from Motrax and various bike dealers, and tried Petrol, white spirit, meths, brake fluid, some stuff from Halfords called 'Sticky Stuff remover' (usless) must take it back, stanley knife etc, etc, etc and nothing would touch it. And then a very nice bloke at Bikers World said "have you tried a hair dryer" well it worked an absolute treat, warm it up.... peel it off. How chuffed am I !!
I started peeling it off and realised it was leaving that horrible stuff on, so left it on wonky until I sold the bike with it!
