Increasingly will be taking the HP2 on longer rides, exploring Rocky Mountain roads further way. Will be spending more time on the tarmac to get there. Interested in a tire slightly more tarmac worthy than the Karoos currently on the bike, maybe something in between the Tourances and Karoos. Such a tire exist?

tyre

i reckon the sahara is a good thing. Its standard issue on the ktm 640 adv and is great on the blacktop and good inthe dirt

Tourances would be the correct tyre if they make a 21" front tyre. I don't mind the karoos if you keep the power off.:nenau

I've got a pair of Tourances on mine for winter tarmac riding, have been great so far, the Karoo's were a nightmare on freezing wet tarmac to be honest...

Spring will see me back to proper off road tyres again and the supermoto's for road work!

Just got to love the way this bike does everything!

tourances

tourances are crap, the best thing about them is the km's u get from them. While you are going to do blacktop u will still be doing dirt in some form and the tourances will make u pay a repair bill. A good 70/30 mix like a sahara will afford u safe passage in the dirt while stick to the road as good as tourance if not better.....imho

Everyone... Thanks much for the thoughts and leads. Do like the Tourances on a GS's, but looks like the Metzeler Sahara's are what I'm looking for. Much appreciated.
