I'm probably going to fit TKC's to my 12 once my anakees wear out.

Going through the brazillions of posts about these tyres I havent been able to get a definative idea as to how long they last. The tyre FAQ mentions 4-5000 miles. Is this accurate?

How many miles have you guys acheived?

If I am gentle on them I can get 6500mls out of tkc80`s on my heavier 1150

I used to get 7000 miles out of a rear Tourance and 12-14000 miles out of a front.

So far I have got 4500 off my first rear TKC and 2000 with plenty still to go off my second. The front TKC is still going strong.

"Your mileage may vary...."

So what are they like on the road compared to Tourances? Not that I'm likely to off road it, :tosser as it is my main means of transport, :thumb but they do give the bike a certain air! :bow

Stick to your Tourances if you're not gonna take it off-road...not much point on road apart from the looks...the ride will be a lot more vibey and less miles per tyre.

Ran them last winter and did 3 rears to one front wear varied from 1700miles to 3500 for the rears the front did 8200 ish.

2/3K from the rear and the front gets changed after two at the back :eek
The roads up here are fairly course though, I only managed about 4k from my Anakees.
The tkc80’s are IMO very good on the road, the only time that I notice that I have them on is when I go off-road.

Tyre wear rate does it for me. Annual milage is about 14K. :D Rear Tourance still with tread has done 8,500 miles :thumb , previous Trailwing :tosser did 7,500.

This milage excludes tha salty days when the little Honda comes out.
