I've just ordered a new rear TKC80. Size 140/80 17 - as per the specs.

But I've noticed on the Continental web site that this size has the suffix TT not TL, which means it should be used with an inner tube.

I've had seven previous TKCs in this size and they all had "tubeless" on the tyre wall. Confused :nenau

Have I been running incorrect tyres for the last three years?
Should I go for the 150/80 TL next time?

Hi mate,

I had the 140 TKC on my bike but never even bothered to check whether it is TT or TL. I can look for you tonight when I am home as the old is still waiting to go to the recycle bin.

Have fitted the 150 on the bike and can honestly say except for the more expensive price tag there is no difference in handling or anything else. If you can stick with the 140 unless you want poser value with a fat rear :D
