hi all. I have been searching for the last few weeks for a relatively inexpensive hi level mount for the 1200GSA. Nothing really nice found for under £50.

What do you use?

We'll eventually I dicided to do my own, with the help of a friends 3d printer. Just one last road test tomorrow to check vibration. Printed it in red to show how it looks.

That looks neat :thumb2

Is it a standard fit for a zumo cradle? i'm on the hunt for a mount for my 590 on a super tenere...same bar placement but need to find a mount for the cradle...looks like yours would do the trick

Sorry, but that looks dreadful: like a big lump of plastic :-\
I find the BMW one to be perfect. It suits the bike, holds the Zumo perfectly, and the angle is adjustable.

Migsel mount on mine although stupidly expensive at circa £80.

Think Nippynormans have something that will allow you to clamp the crade onto the GSA upper bar, I have block like piece that screws together around the bar and the cradle screws on> Think I got it from NN.

Standard kit that comes with the 660, the locking wheel was an add on, under a tenner .

Thought I would try a slightly different and smaller design for the zumo 660 as it does not need as much of an offset from the screen. Again printed in white to show the design, but would end up with a black print instead

That looks the business.

How much would you want from me to do one in black and post it to Ireland??

You could have a thriving little business going there if you are taking orders.

It is exactly what I have been trying to find to fit the new sat nav on my MTS1200. What is the mounting bar diameter on the GS? I would be really interested if you could do one in black but to fit onto a 21mm mounting bar. Posted to me in the UK

Let me know a price if you are interested.

Thanks

I guess it would be around £20 posted. Would take me a few days to adjust the diameter and get it printed though. It would also come with longer bolts but you would use your existing nuts. Let me know your thoughts

Hi

£20 would be great but I think I may have hit upon a snag, if you have designed it for a 660 am I correct in thinking the hole pattern is set up in "landscape" format? My unit is a 340 and requires mounting in "portrait" so I would need the large mounting hole going through the middle of the long sides where your white one has it going through the short sides and I would need the short edges bevelling where you have done the long edges. I hope that makes sense.

Let me know if that is possible.

Thanks

Andrew

hi there Andrew, would you be able to draw a crude sketch or take a picture of the rear of your mount, some dimensions center to center would also be useful

I think that comments a bit harsh albeit opinions were asked for. If I had a 3d printer I would be doing the same!
