Hi I've got a used TKC 90/150-17 in the work shop would this fit the rear of my 89 100gs ? it's got a 130/80 on at the moment but it's a more road based tyre and that's not got much clearance with the shaft housing I'm thinking its to wide but has anyone tried it ? Or should I get a new 130/80-17 TKC80 ?

I'd get the 130 if I were you, not sure if it would fit , I doupt it but even if it did it's not a good idea. May be sell it on here and put the money towards a new one.

Try the same size Mitas E-09 which is a better tyre IMO

Yes very similar tread blocks to the TKC but harder wearing - especially the Dakar version. Works fine on the road. The front tyre isn't much good but then neither is the TKC. I fit the MT 21 which works well on the road and is suprisingly good off road until it's about half worn.
