Just replaced my OEM Anakee 3's with TKC70s.

Anyone else experienced high speed weaving? All pressures are correct.

High speed handling considerably worse than my worn out Anakees.

I used to have these tyres and had read this characteristic in a few places, but never experienced it (M6 & M56). I moved to the pilot 4's when I got a nail in the front of the TKC-70 and I have to say regretted it. I'll be trying the Avons next

Oh - just to add - I had pressures lower than recommended 2.4 and 2.7

Might lower the pressures. Currently 2.5 and 2.9 to see if it makes a difference.

My tyre place didn't have any Anakee's, PR4 or Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 in stock. That's why I ended up with the TKC70s

Yes I had a set back in 2014 when they first launched them, had exactly what you are experiencing, hated them and have not touched them since.
God knows who they use to test them, but they obviously didn't do a very good job.
But strangely I have the Conti trail attack 2 at the moment which have the same profile and they are great.

Been running these tyres for the past 6 months on my 1150 - no weave at any speed including a run in excess of 100mph (german motorway) two up with large top box.

I ran a pair on a two-up trip across the States and never had any problems. I did find they were a bit squirmy on wet white lines, but didn't note any high speed weave, though I'm not an overly aggressive rider.

Yes, had them on my GSA last year for a trip to Bosnia with offroading in Croatia & Slovenia on the way back. They weaved quite a lot. Had them on the bike for a total of 5k miles (pre trip and on trip) and reckon it took about 1.5k for me to get used to it. But at 5k I took them off and didn't buy them again.....wasn't particularly impressed with the front end in off road (dry) either.

Pressures didn't seem to make any difference and with fully loaded bike it becomes a lesson in concentration!

No high speed weave but apart from the first thousand miles or so I did not like them at all - vague floaty feeling like they were just a moment away from letting go or going into a weave. The only tyres I have replaced before they were worn out. Try Avon Trailriders. You won't be disappointed.

Yes.I had a horrible weave over 80 with the 70s.Half decent off road though.Replaced with Avon trailriders.Much better on and off road.

Yes...but the front was from a bad batch apparently!
Had a pair on my 1150GSA 2years ago for a 2 up trip through Romania and I couldn't get above 80mph without the weave coming in
By the time I got home the front was scalloped badly (5mm wear difference between some treads) so I contacted Cambrian Tyres who replaced the tyre without question after I sent photos'.
I decided to give them a second chance last year seeing that I had a new free front anyway and they have been perfect, absolutely no weave whatsoever and smooth even wear. Done 7k miles and probably another 3k left on the rear but it's squaring badly now so I'll change it anyway. Would I use them again...yes but I'm going to try a set of Avon Trail Riders for the next trip.

Have a Google around for TKC70 front tyre uneven wear issues.

yep the same,i was warned by a mate but didnt listen.

I also had plenty of talks with the manufacturer as well jim and they said to me its the first negative comment that they had heard of, so being a complete arse I was took in and tried them again and there shite at speed

ha ha same here and they sent me a Continental adventure motorcycle waterproof cover for my trouble, not had any issues with the trail attacks though.

Well, just coming up to 1000 miles since fitted.

They are noisy (not as loud as Anakee's).

Dry grip is good and they turn well. Not had any rain so can't compare to the Anakees.

High speed weave is still there but seems to slowly improving with mileage.

Yup I got weave with my 1st set. Continental replaced them .... but still get a bit squirrely on white lines and banding ! It does vary depending on load ! otherwise a good all road tyre !
Had some on my daughters 650 twin and never had a problem !
