Having not ridden the bike since returning from our Austria Holiday I was getting well and truly stir crazy . Not much on today on the work front,so up early do some paperwork , make up a flask and sandwiches, grab the bike gear and set off . Have taken the pinlock out as the beading has failed, the connecting studs are loose so I left them out. Its not going to rain. Interestingly at A1 speeds when checking mirrors with these studs missing you can make all sorts of Jet engine noises , roaring and whistles.
Having a small pea brain this kept me entertained for 10 mins or so. Jumped off the A1 at Wetherby and had plotted a route to Masham on mostly Minor Roads. Had a quick map check over a coffee at one of JB s Cafes the Bordar House. Warming up nicely Suns out, on me tod,no one to please but meself. Perfik. Well I had a Bimble plotted, taking in more back lanes and goat tracks. Some I knew, one was extremely muddy from the tractors and the thought crossed my mind fleetingly What If you come off. Didn’t come across a soul for most of the journey. Man up and just let the bike do the work. Most satisfying, rode and stopped for photos, 3 hours later, pulled in to top end of Grassington for a very late lunch. For the second time today watched a lone red kite, performing for an audience of 1. Cold snirped up bacon and tomatoe sandwiches and lukewarm coffee. What could be finer on a September day. Followed the back roads and back on A1 after Harrogate .
Few photos and a link to some more[/SIZE]
