For holding me walkman thing, has a velcro pad, so it can be used for sticking anything on...................... thats if the thing you want to stick to it has a bit o velcro on it.
Up to now, I have stuck.... my gloves, me camera, a clarinet....I was just testing its strength, and next doors cat. she fell off after a few seconds, but had no velcro attatched, relying solely on fur adhesion.

Being so proud of this bracket, I feel I have to share its image with the rest of the GS community.

Ahhhh, thats the next job. A custom made goretex cover, hand stitched by.......... someone. to slip over the ensemble. rendering it dry .....but still able to breathe! Or maybe i will just unvelcro it when it rains

Come on Den........when it rains, you ride faster to keep it dry behind the screen. It'll only get wet when you slow down.

:D ;)

Good stuff.

I like it. I've got lots of time for people knocking things up themselves, beats the hell out of shop bought stuff i reckon.

Award yourself a gold star to stick on the fridge:beerjug:

For waterproofing you can't beat a budgie cage plastic do-da , you know they're elasticated and go on the bottom of the cage to catch all the shite and seed, they come in various colour schemes, some even match the canary yellow GS, and they're cheap ( cheap cheap )
i'll get me coat

C'mon Vern, you're not telling me he actually puts a fridge on there too!! :)

Den, I made one as well

You inspired me to make a bracket for myself today, fed up with not being able to see the idiot lights, I thought I'd move them.
Mk 2 is on the drawing board already:D

I'm just waiting for the lorry to bring the RSJ's for my next bracket. I'm making a huuuuge bracket to hold the shed on the side of the house

You better watch next time you're leaning forward to reset the trip meter or fiddle with the ignition...All that velcro and a beard you could hide a badger in.....it's a recipe for densaster.....:D :D :D "well your honour......."

Vern,

That looks like something from Blakes 7...or even the Lego Blake 7 ......and before you say anything I know it's ten times better than the dodgy piece of shite that I came up with :D
