With the sun shining, I decided to saddle up and explore the North Yorkshire Moors this afternoon

Views were stunning, in this glorious Easter weather

These trails are on the edge of Sutton Bank, very dry and easy to ride

Helmsley, even the roadsigns are quaint

Just out of Helmsley, you can ride up into Bransdale..............a little known Dale, tranquil and virtually devoid of traffic and Easter tourists

What a view

It's a long way down

Next was over Bransdale and up onto Rudland Rigg (an old drover's road that links North Yorkshire and Cleveland) which goes on for about 15-20 miles

Fabulous views

Rudland Rigg, being so long, is regularly bi-sected by other trails which lead to over valleys and Dales

At this cross-roads, I took a right turn and head down Monket Bank that leads into Farndale and Hutton Le Hole

Steeper than it looks in the pic
