The sun was shining and the sky was blue..................so after a bit of stuff to tidy up for work...................it was out on the bike, for one of the first rides of the year.................the joys of self employment:thumb2

I decided not to venture too far from home and headed from Thirsk, up over towards Hawnby, lunch in Helmsley (a few bikes out)..............then over the NY Moors to Rosedale and a short loop back through Lastingham and Hutton Le Hole and back down Sutton Bank...............only 75 miles, but it felt really good:thumb

Nice pics Johnny, shame I spent the day organising mortgage/solicitor and signing away the next 20yrs, just so I can have a big garage and she can have four bedrooms! Might sneak out to Hawes tomorrow though!

Do it:thumb

Enjoy the new house too;)

Got to do it. Her indoors has that much decorating planned that when we get the house I won't see daylight for months. Still, it's a big garage... maybe even room for another bike...

Nice one JB...shame more on here didn`t get out on their bikes today instead of bitching and whining in the pub. :augie

Some great views and really interesting buildings there. :thumb2

What`s with the Kalahari 1100GS?
Thought you had the 1150 Adventure ?

What have I missed...and what`s with the USD fork protectors ??

I bought the Kalahari from here last Oct as a bit of a winter project...............which kept me entertained overwinter................it is now fully fettled and back out and about -it will be a winter/bad weather bike - like your old Kalahari

USD Fork Protectors........................just a bit of personalisation with some bits that I had in the garage

The 1150Adv is still here........................bit like your old Red 11GS - had it from new and keeping her

Top Tosser...man after my own heart. :thumb2

Lovely countryside JB. :thumb2

Yorkshire is a lovely county, I really enjoyed riding round there on Pog's event last July.

It's not grim up north

.........you just proved it [ as if proof were needed anyway ] .
Thanks for that Johnny , SWMBO is a Yorkshire lass and always harking on about how lovely it is - I must nip up on the bike sometime to do some exploring of my own .

Crackin bike too .

Steve

A positive post,just whats needed.

Very much liking your bike too.:thumb2

So envious that you have all that on your doorstep Johnny.

Didn't get as far as Hawes. Chipping then the Trough north to Caton, then Tatham Fell back to Slaidburn, Dunsop Bridge and home. Noticeably a lot more traffic, cars and bikes, than a week ago, but still a good day out.

Nice bike JB:thumb

I was out riding for the last three days too, but in the Thar desert with my family two guides and six camels... Lunchtime under a tree 41degrees, night time sleeping on some dunes looking at the stars, fantastic

Thanks.................I enjoyed the ride

Not much chance this week, the bike has been in Rainbow BMW for the week for its service and I've been too busy to get it back or take out the 1150Adv either.................

Just managed some fettling on the R11RT - so it's ready for summer now:thumb2 - had the mirror pods and belly pan painted - the bike is as good as new now, looks a treat:D
