Hi Guys. Well it looks like I'm heading to Paris for breakfast one day towards the end of November. Anybody know the tolls on the E15 Calais to Paris?

Cheers,

Dave.

Hi Guys, doing my usual trick of Googling after I've asked the question elsewhere, I came up with this useful (ish) looking site:

http://www.mappy.co.uk/

Seems the tolls I wanted are Eu 10.40 each way on a bike. Or about seven quid on a rough calculation.

cheers,

Dave.

Check where you are going when you get to Paris, the A16 route drops you short of the city centre in the shithole that surrounds the Stade de France.

You might prefer the A26/A1 instead, although the toll is more like €11.40 from Ardres to Roissy.

The mileage is spookily about the same.

Just be careful how you pay when you're at the tolls...

A few of us went on a tour in France back in May and paid by credit card at the relevant credit card toll booths - but if you go there, they charge you car rates :blast They have no way of knowing you're on a bike at the automatic card machines, so you pay for a car.

The thing to do is go to the cash booth (where you can also pay by card if you are on a bike) and pay the correct rate... :D

The nice people at Sanef listened to my plea when i got back and refunded me the difference between the car rate I paid and the bike rate I should have paid... but I'm older and wiser...:thumb
