Spoke to a dutch lad on the amsterdam ferry a few weeks ago who had just bought one, he stated it was simpler to use than his previous 2620 and more reliable. Stated as well that the associated maps are more detailed and the overview format on the screen was easier to use on the move.

Spoke to a Tom Tom rep at the A1 services on Saturday. Promised that the Rider will be lunched at the Bike show in October and there will be promotional deals to be had.
