My Tom Tom Rider is continually searching for satellite
IE no signal
Any Ideas

all tomtom go series seem to do this occasionaly :nenau
open the flap at the bottom (for access to the usb / power connectors) and reset the unit by pushing a pin/ paper clip into the tiny hole. Make sure you are out side when you do this and try and keep the unit still (ie not in a moving vehicle). This will trigger a complete ground up search for satallites and may take up to 20 minutes. Like a pan of water waiting to boil.....its best not to watch.

Tomtom advise to try and switch the unit on whereever you last switched it off to reduce the risk of this happening in future

Some will suggest simply removing and reincerting the SD card will also reset the unit but it doesnt seem to always have the desired affect in cases of lost sattalites :spitfire

where you plug in the dc charger theres a very small hole to the left, put a pin to reset it! worked for me and it didn't wipe any of my POI's or favorites!
