Hi,
I bought an Urban rider model no 4GC01 from fleabay. I have subsequently bought cheapish bluetooth headset which according to the blurb operates on the right system to pair A2DP.
While the Tom Tom will pair to my phone and the phone will pair to the headset. The Tom Tom cant see or find the headset. Is there a way round this or if not can anyone recommend another headset. The interphone ones on ebay seem to be cheap.
I know you get what you pay for but this if for a 1 off trip and I dont want to spend a shedload on something I may not use again.

I've got same model for several years and it pairs fine to Cardo Scala G4

Thanks for that. Does anyone know if it is possible to access the units software to enable it to see the Bluetooth headset I already have.

When your trying to pair the headset, have you enabled pairing mode, on the headset ?
To do this on a Cardo Scala headset, you switch it on then press the power on/off button until it flashes red/blue and then tell the TomTom to search for headset

Thanks for the suggestion

Ive done that and reset the Tom Tom to factory settings and tried again with no luck. The headset will pair to my phone and the 2nd headset, but not the TT. The TT will pair to the phone only.

It would appear that if the headset isnt on TT,s approved list it wont pair. Thats why is was wondering if I could access its software and override or install software that would allow it to see my headset. I suspect not or everyone would be buying cheaper headsets.

I have a BT Interphone headset bought cheaply from Ebay (about £30) and it pairs pefectly with my Rider 5 and iPhone 5. Clarity is excellent and a telephone conversation or listening to Rod Stewart are both clear up to about 80MPH.
