Whilst waiting for the new Garmin 2820 I've bought myself a TTR, and a great peice of kit it is too, but I want to get more into planning routes on my pc (expecially after attending one of Judge's workshops) so it is just a temporary measure. I know some of you have paired your TTR to the System 5 Bluetooth helmet, mind telling me how it's done exactly and what sort of volume levels you can get for voice directions. The Bluetooth on the TTR is only good up to around 40mph as you know.

Thanks in anticipation :thumb

Hi John,

I did the following:
On the TTR, navigate to "connect to headset" (via Preferences),
TTR instructs you to turn on TTR headset, answer "CANCEL",
TTR says "sound not available..sure you want to cancel", answer "NO",
TTR says "switch on TT headset", answer "OK",
TTR says searching for headset, switch on System 5 and then press + (vol up) button briefly (as per System 5 manual for pairing), TTR will then search for and hopefully find your System 5 lid. When it does , press + button on System 5 to take it out of pairing mode, then press test button on TTR and set the volume accordingly.

Good luck.

PS. If you can get it all to work with your mobile 'phone let me know - callers can't hear me!?

Hi Bandina, thanks a lot for that info, much appreciated :thumb
Do you get good volume levels on the system?

John

Hi John,

No problems with the volume. I had the TTR set at about 80-90% which worked fine. I then read somewhere that to get good speed related volume you should set the volume lower - around 60%. I tried this but found it wasn't loud enough at speed. I have since reset it higher but have not tried it out yet.

Does yout TTR work with your mobile 'phone?
Cheers,
