My apologies if this has been asked before,I've gone back 108 pages but might have missed it....
An acquaintance has a Tomtom 700,an AutoCom Pro,and he's trying to route the audio from the GPS to his helmet
The TomTom has a built-in speaker and BlueTooth, but no auxiliary or audio output, although it does have a USB socket,(I assume this is just for inputting data to the GPS).
The Autocom has only a 5 pin DIN socket available.Needless to say he's not got the manual or paperwork  .
Taking a feed off the GPS speaker connections has been tried:the GPS itself then didn't work.
I wondered whether it's possible to use the DIN socket on the Autocom for a Bluetooth dongle, and then connect with the GPS that way.If thats workable, which terminals on the DIN socket are used, and how do you make sure the Bluetooth standard is the same on the dongle and the GPS/link it up/buy it from.
Any suggestions/alternatives gratefully received.

Hmmmm, you could try autocoms tech support :nenau
Dont bother with Tomtoms support, i asked them a similar question 4 months ago and im still waiting :spitfire

Cant answer any of your other questions except that if a device is described as "bluetooth" then it can only sit on one frequency and will be able to work with any other "bluetooth" device.

Thats the theory anyway :P

I'm running an original TomTom and to get an audio feed I had to patch into the connectors on the cradle and create a 3.5mm stereo socket.

That connects to my Starcom in the same way as any other audio feed - MP3, radio etc.

However, it's my understanding that the cradle for the 300/500/700 series is slightly different from the Classic.

Later edit:- Found this which gives the connectors for the 700
