I just bought an urban rider without realising that the lastest map update that new owners are entitled to is too large for the device. Doh! I would rather have full EU 45 countries loaded.

My question is, are the newer maps worth the hassle of having to switch between EU zones? What do they offer over the old maps?

Thanks.

I assume the new maps have all the info for the lane assist etc.?

It's only a 10 minute job to upload a different region, although you may struggle if travelling from Spain to Greece as you'd need to take a laptop with you (although my Acer S3 Ultrabook isn't much thicker than my iPad) to change the maps enroute.

I think the old maps have the lane assist feature as its advertised on the packaging. I haven't been able to find much info on what the extra features on the newer maps are. If its gimmicky 3D buildings, etc I can do without. Does anyone have experience with both map sets?
I've invested quite a lot in lightweight camping gear, etc so it would pain me to have to cart around a laptop because the folks at Tomtom are clowns!
