Folks,
I've spent countless hours reading threads on Zumo versus TomTom V2 and may well go for the TT due to the cost differential. Also, a lot of people have said the unit is a bit more 'straight-forward' to use from the off, so I might give this a go as its my first move into m'bike sat-nav. I can then possibly use COPILOT or the ITN convertor when I get a bit more 'ofay'.
The main question I have is in regard to problems I have read about pairing the TT with Autocom/ BT/ PS2/ IPod and microwave (sorry, poor humour). Ideally I'd simply like to have the Autocom capability to give me use of an IPod (stereo) and to use the TT. I like to get out on the bike to get away from the phone and I can always ring folk when I stop for a leg stretch.
So, my question is.....is the problems that I have read about, just with phone pairing to the TT, whilst using the Autocom and IPod, or is it an inherent (queue backlash) problem between the TT firmware and the Autocom unit, in general ? I'd think twice about the TT if I had to use the scala 2 and could not use an Autocom with the increased 'expandability'. Have used neither, though, so again it is just my perception (eek) at this time (more backlash)
I had square eyes early this morning trying to find the answer in the threads, but I think I'm tying myself in knots !! I'd very much appreciate comments and avice from those more knowledgeable (and yes, I'll also take a slagging
)
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Kev
