Tried the GS's on the Ridgeway, nearly came to tears

hence the WR's which don't get out enough as it is.

curry and beer sounds like a great idea! I forgot to mention that camping at the site is not a problem, must go down and ask how much. watch this space.
Den the site is set out as a reasonable safe place for the GS as it is used for demo days by the local 4x4 garages. However there are some areas that I wouldn't take the GS but would probably take the XR, the bits out the back used by the 4x4 racers for instance.

Sound great and mybe interested in the camping aswell.
The main problem I find is ruts, Toms farm in Wales has some bad bits and if the 4x4's have rutted too much even a WR is hard work and hit a rut on the GS ! down you go. I have just replaced a rad (£230 ea) on the WR and they are supposed to be well crashable, unlike me :D
Not to say I wouldn't give it a go anyway but not this time.

Jez what mods do we need to do for this day I,m a bit concerned re the snorkel and air box! how deep are these puddels? is it a mod anyone can do? I have a picture in my mind of a land rovers snorkel thingy! and just now I,m thinking is this a wined up?

ya don't have to ride thru the deep stuff, it's just a bit of insurance incase I end up pot deep in water

Jez

is there stuff for the wimmin to do as we have a couple of tailgunners coming with us ?
also any quads available ?

quads

sorry Den the quads are not available that weekend due to the instructor being away. there will be offroad lessons in a landrover available for pillions etc and trips out in the 6x6 stalwart as well .(see previous post for pricing)
camping will be £3 per person per night.
Looking foreward to seeing you all there.

cheers

as Jez posted this last time - it is extremely easy to get to from M Ways. Hopefully this link will guide you to location http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.s...00&st=4&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf
It's a great laugh, and what's more, there's something for the ladies too ! The s****e sticks to the alloy etc though - clean afterwards - or it won't come off, really !
Bev and I will be there if we aren't pre-booked already - I must speak to my mewifebe.co.uk/bookings tonight !
Time to find where those Tuareg leaks are !! ;)
(PS Jez hope you'll be wearing the new club uniform that day !)

cheers Fritz, but dark horse is a bit of a dark horse and is definately not me!

30th 31st august
Please can everyone who is coming to this event please confirm which days the are coming for so that I can give the site some numbers . Including when and if you are camping but especially how many other passengers etc so that they have enough landrover space etc.

please PM me with details.
thanks and look forward to seeing you all there.

gettin' desperate

Have just had Rebecca from tong on the phone wanting numbers for the landrover lesson's. Unfortunately I was only able to give her one definite for saturday, (Dave Turnocks daughter) so it looks as if we may have to cancel this part of the weekends activity. If you wish to take part or your spuose or offspring wish to take part in what is a fun day out then please let me know before 20.00 (eight o'clock) tonight as this is the deadline before I have to ring Rebecca.

Jez,
I don't need to book other activities, but I can confirm I'll be there for a ride round on me bike on Sunday.
Let's hope the puddles are as deep as last year!
