He did a complete seat rebuild for my g/s which I'm well pleased with, used it on some long distances and very comfortable. Just sent him the saddle from Desert Storm for a rebuild

highly recommended did my 12 adv seat recover and gel pad £100 and inside 24 hours

for Tony Archer here,recovered both 12ADV seats and Gel pad to the rider's seat £120 and fast turn around (inside a week) I also have a Sargent seat for my bike which is comfortable but I'm not in any hurry to re-fit it at the moment.Vrooom_UK

He does excellent work, sometimes difficult to get the seat done due to his popularity.
I have had two non GS seats done, FJ100 and an Africa Twin. Both done to a very high standard.
When the winter comes I will get the R1200GS Adv seat done with a gel pad through him. Good quality reasonable price. way way cheaper than a complete replacement .

He did a good job for me on my R1150GS after some clowns in Coventry messed it up - he said that "gel pads" were not worth it tho'.

Seat I have.. a TT - XXH. was covered by him at the request of the original owner.. he put a 'soft non rubbing' piece of what seems almost like suede (but isn't) under the front end.. which has preserved the tank.
and rather than gel... the seat has a layer of 'memory foam' over its full length. - had the seat for the best part of a year and continue to be delighted with it.

Great work with very very reasonable prices. He's been going years and must have thousands of satisfied customers.

1150 seats recovered to how i wanted em, flattened off an gel insert , 85 quid, used him over 15years now, the best!!!

Yet, when I had a VFR a few years ago, Melvyn did a brilliant job of fitting gel pads and recovering the seat, I was well pleased. The Gel pads made a world of difference to my comfort.
I've never used Tony Archer but reports on other forums say he's done a good job of remodelling their seats, I would certainly consider using him if I needed that service again. He is certainly much cheaper than Melvyn.

When Tony Archer took my Coventry Clowns covered seat apart he found that the gel pad was sandwiched between 2 blocks of foam - completely useless!

Great Service lowered the standard seat on my GS by about 1" for £30 - couldn't even tell the seat had been worked on. Dropped off Monday, picked up Wednesday
