Not that I sad enough to use muffs BUT it's worth noting that some of the, er, soft muffs may at speed push against the brake lever enough to bring your brake lights on.

Was told a story the other day by a Motorcycle instructor acquaintance of mine over the weekend....
During a visit by the supervising DSA examiner to a M/C training school a few years ago, he stated that he and his colleagues were happy enough with the quality of instruction of some students coming for their test, but felt the way they were giving their hand signals was a little too “flamboyant”. When pressed to explain he stated that they were wiggling their hands at the beginning and end of the gesture?
Puzzled, they carried out an assessment of the instructor in question and found the answer!
He had an old pair of muffs on his own bike when he carried out the training and wriggled his hands in and out of them when demonstrating hand signals. The baby ducks following then all copied his exact movements!
Hand Signals?
Urban Myth?
Heard the one about the learner on the Red Honda CB250 and the examiner saw the Red Honda CB250 coming so he leapt in the road with his clipboard in the air, only it was a different Red Honda CB250 and it ran him over.....
Checked out that Michel dudes site.In the piccy it looks like Oxford Muffs and hes still got the guards on the bars.Mabye worth a shot.
A bit cheaper than getting stuff sent from the states like the ones in Cycle Apparal Co although they look well up to the job.
Had a cheap set of muffs before when despatching on the MT500 coz I didnt wear any gloves.
I had to go to Stockholm last week for work and was well impressed to see quite a few bikes on the move around the city. It was -3 degrees and there was some snow but the roads were ok. There was one guy on a Harley sportster (I think it was a sportster anyway) with studded tyres. Lots of tread with lovely shiney studs all over - very kinky. I can't imagine what it's like to drive on tarmac with metal studs - must be a bit like driving on ice without them I suppose. :cockeye He still looked like a prat but I must confess he did turn a few heads - I think it was the open exhaust that was blasting out about 6000decibels through the narrow streets of stockholm that really impressed the locals.
